Academy of Stormwind

"Tired of seeing the youth waste their lives pursuing powers they barely grasp in knowledge, much less understand? Ever been shunned or excommunicated by those of your own trade simply for having a differing outlook on what it is that you do? Soon, the doors will open for a new kind of school specifically for these reasons.

The Academy of Stormwind is seeking experienced part-time teachers and tenured professors to teach both the young and young at heart. All matters of Magic, Arcanic, and even Runic use apply and is encouraged. If your perspective differs from that of your peers, this is your opportunity to spread your thoughts unto other minds."

This organization was formed for one purpose and one purpose only.  To educate those willing to learn.  The current level of progress that normal trainers give is barely sufficient.  And if they ever err, who is there to correct them?  That is our purpose.  And though we educate students, the staff is also encouraged to learn new things as well through study, experimentation, or logical debate.

Good Morning

He opened his eyes and allowed them to slowly take in his darkened surroundings.  He slowly unfolded his legs with his knees giving nearly no sound of protest until he began to stand up, though the groan he gave was more pronounced than the groan of his joints.  He stood up carefully, looking at the sleeping form of his wife, no correct that, the woman who was his wife years ago.  In the predawn twilight that filtered in through the window, she looked every bit the woman he loved and had a family with all those years ago.

A bit small, but I like it. :)

Humans, why bother.

In the corner of Elwynn sat a small huddle mess of a creature, the rain glistened off of her light blue skin. It fell softly, bits of blood beading with it and falling to the grass beneath her. There was no movement, simply the rise and fall of her body as she breathed. Two blood coated daggers sat in the unkempt grass beside her, the blood was darker in shade almost a violet- the color of kaldorei blood when left to sit...just a bit too long. The small woman, curled into the grass, tears streaming down her cheeks. The rain was particularly welcome...allowing the tears to go hidden from those that ran past.

A Scuffle in the Night (Part 2/3)

You could have stopped it...”

I felt my knees shuffle as I stood, retaking my place in the the shadows. My chest rose and fell slowly, I tried to control my breathing...tried to block ou- Then it was red. I have never been so hurt in my life, the world began to swirl around me and my lips spoke in quick snips.

“He never loved you-” The words came easily as I began to berate her from the shadows, bringing rise to the beast in her chest. She may have been hurting- but my pain overwhelmed that. This was my family- these were my friends. I would not ..lose them again.

A Scuffle in the Night (Part 1/3)

The woman's eyes looked up, dimly mocking her. Sabariel's foot lifted weakly from the throat. She had died with a smile... a smile lay spread across those lips.

Sabariel fidgeted, glancing around. “She ain' here yet-” The elf's eyes darted over to the older woman- standing tall and proud as always. Sabariel had to admit, Rethalia was one of her favorite instructors and they hadn't even started classes yet. She was always so poise- intelligent, and not too bad a dresser.

She kept her eyes dancing across the trees as the warlock spoke. “Maybe she isn't coming-” Sab glanced back, looking at the warm smile. -Gods, could she only hope-

Ghosts in the Myst

In a sizable office dangerously filled with candles near and on thousands of tomes, a weary looking old man sat behind a grandly carved oak desk.  His normally piercing gaze was unfocused as he set back in his tall-backed chair.  He folded his hands together causing the tinking of metal on metal to sound.  He had heard the rumors.  His connections were still trustworthy when it came to something like this.  They had found him.  That intractable gnome had come back from the dead.  A common trend it seemed as of late.

What happens in Old Town...

It had been two days since he had received the letter from Rethelia.  Two days he had been traveling as swiftly as possible back to Stormwind from his latest academic venture.  The letter seemed urgent to him, and as such his ancient mind made all sorts of presumptions on the situation ranging from diabolic to just plain strange.  And as he arrived in Stormwind, he immidiatly headed for the Old Town tavern, The Pig & Whistle.  He neglected to tell her where we were meeting intentionally.  Though he did leave the hint of a trail, thanks in no small part to his currently employed succubus, Jhorlith.  Much like himself, the demon was very much unlike the rest of her kind and her skills in subtle fel manipulation was something to be admired.
