Character Biography

History/Biography

Iretia (formerly Irene, but she changed her name after her first death) Winters claims to have once been a member of the SI:7, if only for a few years. Her career was cut short after a night of drinking and the inclusion of government secrets in her drunken banter. Upon blacking out and waking up a day later, Iretia found herself smack dab in the middle of Tanaris with no map, no supplies, and no armor. She eventually died of dehydration. Her body was found within two weeks, brought to Tirisfal, and raised into an undead state. The necromancer tasked with bringing her to "life" gave her the twin daggers she previously owned and simply stated: "We found these with you, so it's assumed you're a rogue. Go out there, serve the Dark Lady, and let me get back to my work."

From there, Iretia proceeded to work random jobs for about a year. That too was cut short when she was killed in a battle against an ogre. And so, she was raised again. The necromancer gave her a crossbow and a spider, then simply sent her on her way without uttering a word. Winters quickly learned that her accuracy was proving to be much better from a distance and set out to find more interesting and effective weapons to work with.

Now, Iretia Winters works to make a name for herself, whether through selling her unique leather goods or as a fighter armed with a gun, a few good traps, and anything else she decides to use against her opponents. She is enlisted as an associate among the recently revised Grimhoof Family, but it's likely that she denies accusation of said involvement. Knowing that she's existed among the undead for only less than two years, Iretia has managed to maintain contact with a select few people among the living, neutral or Alliance. She's never thought of herself as "a good example of Forsaken behavior", but her actions during current military service have yet to get her into any significant trouble.

Winters will often look at a situation and decide that she can make it more interesting, more entertaining, or she'll sit in the sidelines and find a snack.

Iretia has recently discovered the facts behind her death, but has inwardly decided to keep a few details away from the public eye.
