History/Biography

Commissioned art of Lirriel, her husband Drauglos, and her best friend/adopted sister Cerwis, by Luneaus. Black and white portrait sketch of the trio as well.
Commissioned art of Lirriel by Dekraus.

Lirri grew up on a small farm near Goldshire, learning many basic skills from her mother and grandmother. As a child, her father and uncles went off to war, and eventually never came home. She was trained in the Northshire Abbey by monks who taught the carefree girl the importance of Discipline. While she dislikes combat--preferring diplomacy first--she can defend herself and others to some extent.

As a healer, Lirriel uses a combination of traditional mundane medical skills, Light magic with a touch of Nature to it, and alchemy and herbalist skills. With her tailoring skill, she also creates imbued threads for healing as well as sewing magical clothes and uniforms for those with the need for them.

For a brief time, she worked with a small group who served the Archbishop Benedictus directly, but her own form of quiet rebellion against some conservative Cathedral leaders led to her slipping away from that service. Her reputation with Alliance leadership guarantees her access to the Cathedral's services despite remnants of that friction.

She was part of a mercenary group as a healer to help her friends, serving in Alterac before heading to Outland. Lirriel was badly injured after facing an Eredar in Nagrand, and took several months to recuperate. After her recovery she applied for and now serves in The Silver Dragoons.

She maintains a vacation home in Telaar, Nagrand, where she grows herbs in the prairie climate. With her position in the Dragoons, she spends more time in Stormwind, keeping her ever growing collection of pets and mounts at her mother's farm in Elwynn. She is widely traveled, having explored much of both Azeroth and Draenor, serving in a support position in campaigns against the Burning Legion and the Scourge. As a kind, helpful person (some might say nosy or a busybody), she's gained a highly respected reputation throughout the Alliance and many other groups on both worlds.

Among Lirriel's friends are warlocks, Blood Elves, and others of "questionable" reputation, which has caused problems and earned her demotion and strict censure. She tends to approach others with a friendly demeanor no matter who or what they are, though will be guarded around demons and undead. She tries to judge on individual merit by keeping the Light's Tenets in mind, though her perceptions are colored by her position in the Dragoons and her connection to Hyjal's druids.

Her passionate relationship with Drauglos Meterein resulted in marriage on February 27th the year the Lich King fell. Once the Cataclysm was averted, the Metereins semi-retired to a farm in Elwynn and began their family, using their skills in service to the local community, mainly through healing and training.

Lirriel's Military Record

Description: A slim, petite young woman with blond hair, blue-gray eyes, and very fair skin. She is usually scented with Peacebloom. When Lirriel speaks, her accent hints at coming from Elwynn Forest. She almost always carries a compact bag of basic healing, alchemy, cooking, and tailoring supplies. Lirr wears her diamond engagement and gold wedding rings on her left hand. She prefers wearing conservative dresses, but when her husband's with her in town she sometimes tries slightly more daring outfits for him. The priest tends to insist she's just a simple farm girl who's done well, and blushes all over when embarrassed or complimented strongly. IC, she tries to avoid using weapons or offensive Shadow magics, though is well-versed in both. Her Light magic seems tinged with Nature energies since her time on Mount Hyjal fighting the Twilight Hammer and Ragnaros.
